Principal I, Fusion Cloud Developer

The Role

We are looking for a Principal, Application Development – Oracle Cloud & EBS Financials to play a meaningful role in our global Oracle Financial Management transformation to serve as a senior technical leader within Application Services. In this role, you will guide the build, development, deployment, and support of high-traffic business applications while partnering closely with product, engineering, architecture, operations, and business teams.   You will be hands-on in solving complex technical challenges and will help mentor developers across the team.

What You’ll Do

•    Lead the build, development, testing, deployment, and support of scalable web applications used across the business.  
•    Build compelling application functionality, including business logic, user interactions, APIs, services, and integrations for high-traffic systems.
•    Drive solution design and architecture in partnership with principal developers, engineering leaders, architects, product owners, and product management.
•    Collaborate within an agile team environment to deliver business value through reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software.
•    Create and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and acceptance tests, to improve quality and delivery confidence.
•    Support CI/CD pipeline ownership, production deployments, post-production validation, incident response, and ongoing application reliability.
•    Help define and meet Site Reliability Engineering expectations, including service-level objectives, production support response times, and resolution targets.
•    Participate in data, service, API, web, and mobile architecture discussions and provide practical technical recommendations.
•    Mentor staff and associate developers by sharing technical expertise, reviewing solutions, and helping the team grow.
•    Serve as a trusted technical resource when production issues, system risks, or complex development challenges arise.

What You’ll Bring

 

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven Oracle Fusion Cloud technical experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, BI Publisher, FBDI, ESS jobs, flexfields, value sets, and integrations.
• Strong Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 expertise: AOL/FND, concurrent programs, value sets, flexfields, interfaces, APIs, XML Publisher, Forms, Reports, and Workflow.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills, including complex query development, data modeling, performance tuning, and database troubleshooting.
• Basic-to-intermediate Java knowledge, including:
• Core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, and logging
• JDBC and Oracle database connectivity
• JSON/XML processing
• REST/SOAP web-service consumption
• Maven/Gradle fundamentals and Git-based source control
• Strong hands-on OIC experience: orchestrations, mappings, fault handling, scheduling, monitoring, REST/SOAP, ERP Cloud, Database, FTP/SFTP, and file-processing patterns.
• Experience integrating Oracle applications with Salesforce, external SaaS platforms, databases, files, and third-party systems.
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, certificates, mTLS, Basic Authentication, API security, JSON, XML, WSDL, and OpenAPI.
• Good UNIX/Linux shell-scripting and production-support experience.
• Experience with Git/source control, CI/CD, Agile delivery, defect tracking, and release/change management.
• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and SaaS‑to‑SaaS / third‑party integrations

 

Certifications and Training

• Industry-recognized certifications related to the candidate’s area of technical expertise are required.

Experience

• 7+ Years’ experience in design & development of end-to-end complex applications
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• Advanced technical degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-traffic transactional web systems in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with log aggregation, remote debugging, proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Experience with continuous delivery practices, including versioning, branching, pipeline development, automation, acceptance testing, and release management.
• Experience working in international business environments or multi-level marketing business models.
• Experience with modern monitoring tools and certifications in widely used programming languages or platforms.
