ROLE AT A GLANCE:
- This role is responsible for supporting key organizational North America (NAM) public affairs priorities along with a team of multiple professionals, including cross-market engagement with global markets, cross functional collaboration, execution of core responsibilities, and delivery of high quality outcomes aligned with business objectives. The position requires sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage and complete projects as assigned.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Execute core responsibilities that directly support North America market public affairs and sales goals.
- Partner cross functionally and cross-regionally to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of work.
- Provide daily updates to NAM colleagues.
- Represent the company on trade associations focused on the economic relationship between the U.S. and China providing summaries of meetings to the company’s teams in both regions.
- Analyze information, identify risks or opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Prepare clear written materials, reports, or presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage assigned projects or initiatives from planning through execution.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- This role operates within a collaborative, results driven team environment – primarily regionally but also cross-regionally. You won’t be treated as an ‘intern’, you will be treated as a member of the team, a colleague with a role. Team members are expected to work independently while maintaining strong communication and coordination with colleagues, leadership, and cross functional partners. QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS: (Skills, background, and experience required for success)
Education
- Either completion of a undergraduate university degree or study towards an undergraduate university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- While this is an entry level position, experience must be demonstrated to be relevant in functional areas such as public affairs, government engagement, trade association collaboration, or other experience that will help to demonstrate the candidate’s ability to work in a group setting and manage projects through completion.
- A deep understanding of Chinese culture, customs and government functions is preferred.
Skills/Certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard business tools and technology (e.g., Microsoft Office / M365).
- Proficiency in other languages including Mandarin, Spanish or Portuguese is preferred but not required.
