The Laboratory Technician, Quality Control is responsible for supporting the needs of the Quality Control laboratory, including housekeeping, inventory and supply ordering as well as supporting the basic operations of the laboratory. Lab Technician is also responsible for basic physical and chemical analysis with supervision of chemists.

 

This is a meaningful, hands-on role at the heart of our quality assurance process — one where your attention to detail directly supports the safety and efficacy of the products we produce.


HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

 

In this role, you will be a foundational member of our QC team, ensuring the laboratory runs smoothly and efficiently so our chemists can focus on delivering accurate, reliable results. Your day-to-day contributions will include:

  • Provide basic cleaning to the laboratory by washing, drying, and storing glassware used by chemists in the performance of product and raw material testing

  • Operate standard dishwashing machines and equipment

  • Organize glassware, lab supplies, samples, and other materials as to be readily available to lab staff. Notify management when inventories are low or insufficient

  • Assists in the receipt of laboratory supplies by opening shipments, verifying packing lists, and submitting paperwork for invoice reconciliation

  • Clean lab benches, shelves, hoods, floors, and walls as needed to maintain a clean and GMP-compliant environment

  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, replenish as needed

As you grow in this role, you will also have the opportunity to expand your technical skillset through on-the-job training and hands-on exposure to industry-standard analytical methods:

  • Able to be trained to clean up minor chemical spills

  • Log in receipt of samples, file, reconcile, and organize paperwork

  • Register samples in LIMS and data entries

  • Prepare lab reagents per requirement of chemist

  • Perform calibration/verification of basic lab equipment: pH meter, analytical balances, etc.

  • Perform basic physical testing: average weight, hardness, thickness, bulk density, taps density, moisture, etc.

  • Perform basic chemical testing utilizing instruments including ICP, HPLC, HPTLC, etc. with supervision of chemist

  • Sending samples to outside lab

  • Ensure adherence with GLPs, GMPs and SOPs

  • Other duties as assigned

In this position you may be exposed to the following environmental conditions:

 

Wet or Humid, working near moving mechanical parts, work in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, dust, powder or airborne particles, strong odors and food products (milk, soy, wheat, peanuts, etc.), toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock/vibration

Qualifications


SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

 

We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to a high-standards laboratory environment. The following qualifications set you up for success:

 

Skills:

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Customer-service orientation and attitude

  • Able to speak, read, write and communicate fluently in English

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience

Education:

  • AA Degree or Technical Certification in a science related field


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

If you bring any of the following, you'll be even better positioned to make an immediate impact:

  • Lab Technician experience in pharmaceutical/dietary supplement industry

  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field
