THE ROLE:
The Global Travel Manager will build, develop, and lead a global travel program with an annual expense of $50MM+ including supplier selection and management across all modes of business travel, meetings and events travel, T&E cards, TMC management, and all tools used from booking to expense reconciliation. The role will report to the Senior Director, Indirect Procurement Americas.
The scope of the role includes strategic sourcing of suppliers, day to day supplier management, heavy collaboration with internal stakeholders, serving as the escalation point on Travel matters, compliance monitoring, and reporting. This is a highly transparent and collaborative role that shall touch every part of our business globally as it supports Herbalife employees and executives’ travel.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
• Lead Herbalife’s strategy to support business travel and expense management for our global employees
• Own the Global Travel program, aimed at helping improve employee productivity and the employee experience, ensure duty of care, while achieving cost reduction
• Manage vendor relationships with credit card providers, travel management companies, airlines, expense management providers and ground transportation partners
• Lead global projects, negotiate deals, and manage a broad range of suppliers (air, ground, hotel, Meetings & Events, T&E Cards, travel management companies (TMC’s), and overall tools used to facilitate booking to expense settlement process)
• Define an evolved business travel and expense program which is responsive to how our business and employees operate in a post-COVID world
• Coordinate with cross functional stakeholders to lead change management, employee facing communications
• Analyze and monitor compliance, drive efficiencies and improvements through reporting and recommendations
• Design systems and programs which complement each aspect of the travel and expense experience
• Function as the internal subject matter expert for travel and expense, benchmark and facilitate best practices
• Bring a highly customer centric approach to resolving issues
• Perform additional duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Will supervise 1 travel specialists

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the procurement of corporate travel including negotiating with and managing suppliers in the corporate travel space, including management of global travel programs
• Experience managing corporate travel policy, T&E programs, with a focus on supporting compliance, identifying opportunities, and making recommendations at similar size organizations
• Experience in the implementation and management of Concur Travel and Concur Expense platforms
• Have developed strategic travel category plans
• Experience collaborating with a broad set of internal departments/functions, resolving issues quickly and effectively
• Strong communication and organizational leadership skills
• Must be a self- starter, capable of translating complex business requirements into program solutions
Education
• BA, BS or equivalent in business or related field
• Global Travel Professional (GTP) Certification preferred
