Overview

THE ROLE: 

 

The AI Governance Manager will play a vital role in managing and coordinating the governance of the Company’s use of AI systems. The Manager will work to ensure that the Company’s use of AI technologies enforce to global regulatory requirements, uphold privacy standards, and align with ethical principles. The Manager implements governance strategies to balance innovation with responsible AI practices. This role reports to the VP, WW Privacy Counsel.


HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 


•    Develop and maintain an AI governance framework and policies, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
•    Conduct risk assessments and audits of AI systems to identify and address potential risks, such as algorithmic bias, data integrity issues, and security vulnerabilities.
•    Maintain a global inventory of AI usage by employees and vendors.
•    Collaborate with technical and legal/compliance teams to integrate privacy and ethical considerations into AI development and oversight. 
•    Own the AI Governance Committee to ensure alignment with relevant laws, industry standards, and Company objectives. 
•    Partner with technical teams to supervise AI system performance, identify model drift, and periodically update models to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance.
•    Craft and deliver training to promote awareness of AI governance and standard methodologies.
•    Stay updated on trends, regulations, and developments in AI governance and compliance.
•    Apply frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, OECD, and ISO to strengthen governance models.
•    Track and report on AI governance metrics to identify trends and risk in AI usage and ensure the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
•    Facilitate cross-functional workshops to foster collaboration and innovation in AI governance.
•    Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 


•    6+ years of experience in AI governance, compliance, privacy, or a related field, with a strong understanding of AI technologies, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
•    Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data management tools (e.g., BigID, OneTrust) preferred.
•    Knowledge of key AI regulations and standards, including the EU AI Act and the NIST AI RMF.
•    Familiarity with global privacy laws related to automated decision-making, such as GDPR and CCPA.
•    Practical experience in implementing IT and Information Security initiatives with a focus on data protection and compliance.
•    Strong understanding of AI technologies and ethical issues like bias, fairness, and transparency.
•    Outstanding communication skills to effectively engage with diverse collaborators and external partners.
•    Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights for AI governance.

 

Education


•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
•    Certification in AI governance (e.g., ISO, IAPP) preferred.
