Overview

THE ROLE: 
The Director, Treasury & Global Payments will have a global scope of responsibility and report to the Corporate VP/Treasurer.  The Director will lead treasury initiatives relating to facilitating the efficient transfer of funds to achieve global objectives. The Director will manage and monitor the credit card processing strategy of the company and will be expected to collaborate with various departments to advance initiatives in support of Herbalife’s operating business and distributor facing initiatives from a Treasury perspective.  The role will oversee certain distributor payment programs and evaluate and implement expanded methods to pay our distributors globally.  The director will work with various technical teams to ensure new technology is employed in the best manner.  The Director will facilitate actions and communications between company personnel and external business partners to provide the best possible member experience regarding payments and receipts.  
The Director will assist in the management of the credit card fraud team and minimize the fraud loss experienced by the company and will partner with the Fraud Manager to propose state-of-the-art methods to improve the fraud program.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 
•    Oversee the global credit card merchant services strategy to minimize cost and optimize the utility of the credit card platform.
•    Innovate and develop alternative methodologies for making and receiving distributor payments which will make Herbalife “easier to do business with” from a distributor perspective
•    Lead, or support as the representative for Treasury, cross-departmental projects and support Treasury objectives.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise in payment processes
•    Provide strategic business insight and assist in the execution of general Treasury issues (banking, FX trading, investing, debt management, etc.) as needed.    
•    Back up and support other Treasury functions as needed; ensure all necessary functions are backed-up appropriately
•    Lead and/or support special projects as needed

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM: 
The Corporate Treasury team is responsible for managing the global cash and banking of the company and to distribute and collect funds in an efficient manner.  The payments environment is fast-changing with many new technologies coming online.  Herbalife faces many challenges in large part because of the many countries in which we operate.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The Director will oversee the manager of the credit card fraud prevention team and an insurance manager.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 
•    10+ years experience in a large multinational Treasury department 
•    Knowledge of the credit card processing and related environment and other electronic payments systems
•    International Treasury experience (banking, FX, debt, etc.)
•    Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial statements; proficient in Excel
•    Build and direct collaborative internal relationships across functions to ensure alignment of priorities with available resources
•    Ability to handle multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines and proactively initiate action and follow through with minimal supervision
•    Ability to communicate effectively across many cultures and countries


Education
•     BA/BS degree in a business-related field
