Overview

The Role

As Principal, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), you’ll guide the modernization of crucial enterprise integrations—defining how systems link across Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Integration Cloud.   You’ll drive migrations from on‑premises platforms to cloud‑native architectures, partnering with engineering and collaborators to deliver integrations that are secure, resilient, and built for scale.

You’ll improve observability and operational excellence, establish integration standards used across teams, and mentor engineers through complex build and production challenges.   This is a senior, hands‑on technical leadership role with end‑to‑end ownership—from architecture and delivery to reliability in production—where your work will directly accelerate business outcomes.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

Integration Architecture & Delivery

  • Architect and deliver enterprise integrations using Oracle Fusion Middleware (SOA Suite, OSB, BPM, ODI) and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Integrate Oracle Cloud Applications and third‑party platforms with on‑premise and cloud systems using OIC adapters.
  • Design API‑led integration architectures, publishing reusable and reliable REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Own orchestration, data mapping, transformations, and exception handling to ensure predictable and high‑quality data flows.

Production Ownership & Reliability

  • Run integrations in production environments, including monitoring, resolving problems, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure high availability, resiliency, and low downtime through proactive operational practices.
  • Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Modernization & Cloud Enablement

  • Drive modernization using cloud‑native and event‑driven patterns, including microservices, containers, and OCI/serverless where appropriate.
  • Lead technical decisions for platform migration, refactoring, and integration standardization.

Security, Quality & Engineering Excellence

  • Embed security and quality by design using OAuth, SSO/SAML, SSL/TLS, and enterprise IAM standards.
  • Champion engineering excellence through automated testing, peer reviews, CI/CD, and paired programming.
  • Define and maintain integration standards, architectural guidelines, and reusable assets.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead delivery end‑to‑end, partnering with collaborators to translate requirements into scalable integration solutions.
  • Develop clear user documentation and reference architectures.
  • Coach and mentor engineers, promoting guidelines across the integration and API stack.
