Overview

THE ROLE:

As a member of our Product Design team, you will have a unique opportunity to work with our scientists driving innovation and product development to delight and inspire millions of Herbalife customers every day. We are looking for a driven and self starting Technician to join our creative team.  With supervision and guidance, the Product Design Technician will support the activities of Product Design scientists and broader team. The Product Design Technician will be required to perform tasks such as assisting scientists with benchtop prototyping and pilot plant trials, preparing samples for product cuttings and showcases, running routine tests in the lab, documenting results, presenting data, maintaining organization of storage areas, and preparing for presentations. These responsibilities require excellent organization skills and basic understanding of mathematical and scientific principles for success.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

  • Prepare samples and supplies for product Document feedback and key discussion points and organize results for analysis/ and tracking.
  • Assist scientists in setting up and conducting benchtop and pilot plant Assist with documentation of prototyping or trial details. Organize data and results for analysis.
  • With training, conduct routine lab testing on samples and prototypes Learn, understand, and implement safe operation of testing equipment and best practices for robust sample testing and data collection.
  • Assist with coordination for product showcases: ordering and organizing supplies, assisting with room set-up and sample preparation, serving samples to attendees and sharing basic product information as needed, clean-up and Assist with development of surveys and post-event data analysis. Prepare summary of data points (create tables, charts, graphs).
  • Assist with team presentations: development of data slides or organization of content
  • Maintain organization of storage room: ensure storage of samples and supplies in designated areas, maintain sample log, routine check for expiration dates and inventory, coordinate regular clean-up sessions with the team
  • Navigate databases and systems efficiently and effectively to document product development data
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams as needed for sensory testing, sampling, feedback collection, or event preparation
  • Support sensory team with samples preparation and sensory testing as needed. Perform other related duties as

The Product Design team works on exciting food, beverage, and dietary supplement technologies to bring delightful consumer product experiences that makes a difference for Herbalife Distributors. We are part of Global R&D team of diverse and talented technical members who are skilled in product formulation, sensory, manufacturing and processing technologies.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 0-2 years relevant experience
  • Desire to learn and grow personally and professionally
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to deliver against priorities and assignments with direction and guidance from supervisor
  • Ability to deliver results in a timely, accurate, and organized manner
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills 
  • Proficient skills in managing data and information in MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Basic understanding of food science/lab principles

 

Education:
• High school diploma or GED
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Working towards an AA or BA/BS degree
