Overview

THE ROLE: 


Integration Administrator - is responsible for provisioning, configuring, administration, security, monitoring of Apigee, Confluent Cloud Kafka in GCP cloud. The administrator is expected to provide day-to-day operational support, and work with Development/Product partners to service their needs. In addition the position supports existing technologies within enterprise. Candidate is expected to have experience in at least 2 of the technologies.  The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days presence in office.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 

 

Configuration of Apigee X environments
•    Proficiency with GCP services - GCP projects, GCP IAM configurations, GCP APIs, GCP Load Balancing, Compute Engine concepts, and GCP Cloud Console
•    Strong knowledge of Agile development and DevOps
•    Expertise of Apigee Developer Portal and configurations, API Products and Apps
•    Hands-on expertise in Apigee Monitoring, Performance and Latency issues
•    Working knowledge of GCP Logging and explorer
•    Hands-on expertise configuring and understanding of GCP Connectors and Application Integrations
•    Troubleshooting Apigee/ Application Integration issues
•    Knowledge of Maven, Jenkins for Apigee API deployment
•    Hands-on knowledge of Scripting language for automation such as Ansible, Terraform
•    Knowledge of Open API Specification
•    Support and work closely with Infrastructure teams (Network Operations, Cloud Infra provisioning, Linux Operations, Windows Operations, Devops, and Cyber Security teams) to setup and configure network and security components required for Apigee setup and communication with on-prem and other cloud systems
•    Document installation steps and maintain them for platform maintenance
•    Perform migration of platform level configuration and entities to Apigee X
•    Perform platform operations maintenance and manage API Platform health in production and non-production environments
•    Develop and define procedures to handle operational scenarios
•    Proficiency in configuration and administration of Confluent Cloud or similar vendor managed Kafka offerings in cloud
•    Experience setting up - cluster links, bidirectional cluster links, replicators, ksql clusters, schema registry
•    User & Principal Management – RBACS, ACLS
•    Configuring of SSO & API key management
•    Configure OAUTH for Kafka clients
•    Experience with creation and management of self managed connect clusters in Kubernetes and hosting connectors
•    Knowledge of DevOps/Monitoring tools – Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, Dynatrace, Splunk
•    Configure monitor and audit with Dynatrace and Splunk
•    Develop mechanisms to consume and filter audit, ksql process log topics
•    Define and monitor key indicators for performance, threshold limits, capacity
•    Possess excellent troubleshooting skills, providing technical support
•    Support deployments – evaluate standards, dependencies, kafka resource parameters
•    Strong understanding and knowledge of GCP/Azure cloud services and cloud networking

 

In addition to above, the candidate is required to have strong administration, troubleshooting skills in at least 2 of below areas

-    OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

-    Oracle EBusiness Suite 12.2.x
-    Oracle Middleware/Fusion (SOA Suite)
-    Oracle Database and RAC

Database and Integration Platform group is responsible for management of databases, middleware technologies.
The group is a glue, that marries different enterprise systems to deliver a seamless experience to end users.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 


  • 5 years of IT administration experience
    •    3+ years of working with Kafka and managed Kafka offerings eg Confluent Cloud or similar
    •    Experience working in Cloud and understanding of cloud paradigms
    •    Setting up cloud based Kafka environments - manual & automation
    •    Proficiency with automation (Terraform, Git, API usage)
    •    Strong problem-solving skills
    •    Self learner displaying keen sense of ownership and ability to work w
    •    Ability to work in collaborative environment
    •    Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills


Education


  • Bachelors in information technology or similar
