THE ROLE:
The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing data strategy for the organization that is in line with business strategy and processes. This includes developing and maintaining high level design documents of how data integrates within the ecosystem, as well as defining data will be stored, consumed, coordinated, and managed across various data applications/systems/tools. The data types and stores include structured and unstructured data and applicable data stores.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
- Develops and maintains High Level Design documents.
- Supports architecture-related aspects of solution development.
- Solves problems by analyzing the data and using data technologies.
- Handles database on a large scale and analyze the data to make the right business decision.
- Works closely with teams to collect and translate information requirements into data and develop data-centric solution.
- Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and solutions.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business goals. Design and provide guidelines for data architecture framework, ensuring scalability, flexibility, reliability, performance, and security.
- Acts as the architect for enabling an end-to-end analytics journey (translates business and customer needs into logical system solutions).
- Establish data management processes, standards, and guidelines, including disaster recovery and business continuity for data systems.
- Responsible for creating current and to-be state consumer data models (leverage automation).
- Provide guidelines and oversee data integration patterns and activities to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
- Provides leadership to the delivery teams on “what to do” and “how to do it”.
- Stays current with industry trends and advancements in data architecture and management.
- Ensures that industry accepted data architecture principles and standards are integrated and followed for modeling, stored procedures, replication, regulations, security, among other concepts to meet technical and business goals.
- Accountable for ensuring that the projects or programs adhere to delivery best practices and principles.
- Plays a key role on the leadership team building the advisory practice, assets, and providing thought leadership.
- Cascades engagement-specific objectives and use these to drive performance evaluation across the delivery team.
