Overview

THE ROLE: 

 

The Vice President, Platforms & Engineering will lead our strategic planning, development and implementation of innovative technology solutions within our infrastructure, datacenter and manufacturing operations. This senior leadership position demands a transformational technologist who can blend deep technical expertise with strategic. Thinking to drive the design, implementation, and automation of our technology infrastructure.

The successful candidate for this role will be a best-in-class technology leader with cross domain skills and practiced modern methods in Infrastructure, Security, Data, Cloud, manufacturing, and Integration with depth in some domains and sufficient understanding of others. They should have experience implementing and handling large scale global initiatives and have led global teams. They should be able to complete the Technology imperatives to drive Standardization, Cost Optimization and Strategic Alignment.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 

  • Own the technology strategy for GTS in partnership with the VP Enterprise Architecture, our Digital Office and Cybersecurity; build and advance the enterprise infrastructure vision in line with modern trends in technology.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure compliance with industry standards, regulations and security best practices, implementing measures to safeguard company data and systems.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives, focusing on scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with and provide mentorship to senior management and a number of departments on sophisticated technical issues.
  • Be a member of the GTS architecture board that defines and governs the work with technologies being brought into the enterprise.
  • Supervise the enterprise’s infrastructure and cloud strategy.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of all IT systems and infrastructure components, including disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Senior most technical resource who represents GTS in internal technical leadership forums
  • Considered a leader with vision who represents Herbalife in external technical forum

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead a distributed team based in different locations; virtual leadership skills are important.
  • Set objectives, expectations, and efficiency measures for the team members under supervision.
  • Lead all aspects of the work product, performance, and career development of direct report team members.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to direct reports on leading and developing their own teams.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in the Information Technology subject area.
  • 10+ years of leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of IT professionals, encouraging a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools and practices, such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong background in implementing and optimizing manufacturing-related IT systems, such as ERP, MES, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of both physical and virtual data center technologies and methodologies.
  • Proven track record to align IT strategies with business goals, driving operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, data driven solutions and a forward compatibility attitude to ensure the workforce is seeking and demonstrating emerging industry trends and changes that affect the business and the member experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent - Computer Engineering or Computer Science
