Overview

THE ROLE:

The Senior Analyst, ESG Data Management will be part of the company’s ESG Center of Excellence (COE), and will support the collection, analysis, external assurance and reporting of Herbalife’s sustainability related data. The Senior Analyst role will be essential to ensuring that ESG-related data and disclosures align with internal data collection and control requirements. This person will maintain our global and centralized ESG database, coordinate data collection activities, generate performance reports, and prepare audit materials. The role will also work with internal crossfunctional and regional teams to evaluate, standardize and continuously improve our ESG reporting policies, procedures, documentation and systems.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 

  • Manage ESG database. This includes designing performance dashboards and analytical capabilities, identifying database optimization, training all users, and collecting, calculating, and aggregating ESG data in alignment with internal collection and control processes.
  • Support the creation of Herbalife’s annual ESG Index and other key disclosures, including sustainability reports, SEC / compliance filings, and ESG raters by providing data.
  • Develop and conduct internal trainings on data governance, internal collection & control responsibilities and database management.
  • Prepare third party assurance materials, including final datasets, supporting evidence, process narratives / flow charts, reporting manuals & other required forms.
  • Find opportunities for database optimization, including further systems integration, automated reporting and improved collection and control features.
  • Help build a plan to identify, prioritize and update ESG metrics, data owners, calculation methodologies and external reporting requirements tied to the company’s material risks and opportunities.
  • Perform regular research and expand ESG data requirements based on evolving regulations, frameworks, standards, ratings and stakeholder trends (customers, investors, peers, etc.)
  • Perform any other duties supporting the company’s ESG COE

Expected Travel:

  • Up to 10% international or domestic travel

 

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM: 

Herbalife’s ESG Center of Excellence (CoE) is a team of individuals that bring expertise and experience from ESG, Government Affairs, and Communications. The team is responsible for the development of ESG strategy and implementation of initiatives by working with internal partners across functions and regions and external groups. The team ensures that the policies, initiatives, and goals under the ESG program align with the business strategy and operational objectives.  

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Approximately 5 years of work experience in financial accounting, information technology, data management, economics, engineering or an ESG-related field
  • Expertise in ESG reporting standards, frameworks and raters (e.g. IFRS, TCFD/CDP, GRI, SASB, ISSB, S&P) OR in financial accounting (GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, internal controls)
  • Knowledge of emerging compliance requirements related to ESG disclosures (e.g. SEC, CSRD)
  • Familiarity with global carbon accounting standards and requirements (GHG Protocol, SBTi, etc.)
  • Strong analytical background and comfort with Excel (i.e. sophisticated formulas, V Lookups, pivot tables)
  • A great teammate and problem solver with proven success stewarding cross-functional teams, monitoring multiple projects and satisfying deadlines
  • Self-guided, thorough and superb communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in financial accounting, information technology, data management, economics, engineering or an ESG-related field
